My Career Discovery

I studied mechanical engineering and got a business administration degree while working for a printing media corporation. However, my biggest passion is entrepreneurship. To me, entrepreneurs are the people that have great personalities and that contribute to the prosperity of our society as a whole.

Ever since I got my first job I always wanted to become an entrepreneur. This thought popped up in my mind when I get bored with my job, even one that came with good positions and generous compensation packages.

So while working for my employer I explored the type of business startups that suit my strengths and desired lifestyle.

This was not easy at all. My wife was skeptical about the idea. Some of her doubts are financial security and social issues. She didn't believe that any business that I would start could replace my income and lead us to the lifestyle that we wanted.

My biggest fear is that life will pass me by while I am not doing everything possible to make my dream comes true. And this fear turned out to be the best motivator for me. 

Without having to leave my job, I looked for a side business to start in 2002. By wading through many available business opportunities I found out that an internet business was perfect for my needs. That was an "eureka" moment when I had almost given up.

How I Built a Profitable Internet Business

A decision to start an online business was just the beginning. I was left with one problem: I knew nothing about doing business on the internet. I talked to myself: How do I start a business I know nothing about? But I took the easiest action first.

I went online and worked hard along weekend to learn everything that could help me started a new business. These included joining forums for webmasters and entrepreneurs as well as bought and read tons of books and courses that cost me more than $10,000. I expected somehow to discover a good technique that would help me.

I learned about profiling my target audience, researching keywords and building a website from MYSS. From the ebook I also learned how to build relationship with the audience and ways to monetize a website.
