How to Build a Web Page

When you build a web page there are two masters that you have to serve: your target audience and search engines. If you disregard one of them you'll be in trouble. Your page may be able to get its job done but it is useless until web visitors can find it on the search engine. On the other side, your visitors might find your page but unless they take any action that you want them to do it's also useless.

For that reason, researching your target audience needs as well as what they look for online are a must. The way prospects look for information is through the use of keywords. For example, if they were looking for colored contact lenses, these would be the keywords used to search for the sites that are about colored contact lenses.

Choosing Keywords and Writing Web Content

The choice and proper use of keywords is very important in creating a web page. In fact, the number of visitors you get will depend on how high up in the search results your site ranks. The higher you are listed, the more the visibility and more the visitors.

So your first job is finding out the keywords that your potential customers use and carefully select keywords and phrases that are appropriate for your website. For this, take a look at the keywords your competitors are choosing or use Google's keyword suggestion tool to look up for more variants of your keywords.

Once your keywords list is ready craft it within your web pages. Start writing a web page with as many relevant keywords as possible as along as the page fulfills your most wanted response for the page. You can write how to information or review products.  Simply choose an appropriate type of content that suits the needs of your prospects.

Web Page Optimization

Once your content is ready it's time to optimize your webpage for search engines. Here are some ideas that will help your onsite or onpage optimization.

1. The phrases that you use in a web page consist of primary and secondary keywords. When you build a web page get a primary keyword and add one keyword or more, similar to the primary one. You can edit the content using a combination of primary and secondary keywords. But make sure that the result you are satisfied with its quality.

2. Now, look at your Meta tags. Make sure that you are using your keyword and its combination in the Meta tags. Include your primary keyword in the title of the page and add one secondary keyword or two, if possible. Also, use the same set of keywords you use in the title for writing the description tag.

3. Another idea is to use keywords in H1, H2 and other headline tags. This will not only make the content easier to read but also help to optimize the page for search engines. Or, you could also add your keywords to describe images available on the page.

So, when you build a web page consider optimizing it for search engines without compromising on the quality. After all what is the purpose of having a high ranking on the search engine results and get a great numbers of visitors if the page doesn't achieve your most wanted response.
